Abstract

1,250,108. Dyeing cellulosic materials. SANDOZ Ltd. 27 June, 1969 [28 June, 1968], No. 32736/69. Heading D1B. Cellulosic materials are padded with a padding bath containing a water-soluble sulphuric acid ester of a lencovat dye and one or more polyglycols of formula: in which X is a whole number, R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, the compound having a molecular weight within the range 1,000-20,000. Preferably a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene glycols may be used and mixtures of different lenco-vat dyes may also be employed. Cotton and cotton/ polyester fibres are specified.
