1319102 Dyeing polyesters IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 May 1971 [22 June 1970] 30185/70 Heading D1B Aromatic polyester textile materials are dyed padded or printed with a water-insoluble azo dye of formula I in which A is a diazo component radical, e.g. o-nitro-phenyl-, R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl radical which may be substituted, the benzene ring B may be substituted, no acidic water-solubilising groups being present. Preferably A is an optionally substituted phenyl group, and fixation of the dye is preferably by baking at 130‹C or above, or by steaming at 100‹ to 160‹C.
