Abstract
1,249,748. Incinerators. KOPPERSWISTRA-OFFENBAU-G.m.b.H. 8 Sept. 1970 [18 Sept., 1969], No. 42986/70. Heading F4B. Air at a velocity of not less than 60 m./s. is injected through at least one nozzle into a duct connecting a garbage incinerator to an associated boiler system, the or each nozzle having a diameter not less than #F/100 where F is the cross-sectional area of the duct transverse to the gas flow. Preferably there are two rows of such nozzles, one in each of opposed duct side walls. The boiler superheating surface may form part of the duct wall.
