Abstract

1,248,865. Circulators. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON HOUSTON-HOTCHKISS BRANDT. 3 July, 1969 [3 July, 1968], No. 33666/69. Heading H1W. In order to obtain increased band width, the strip conductor of a strip line Y-circulator comprises a triangular central portion and branches extending from the apices. The triangle may have concave curvilinear sides. The circulator is of the kind in which a branching configuration is deposited (e.g. printed) on one side of a plate of ferrite and a ground plane is provided on the other side. The drawings show square and rectangular plates. Circulators having more than three ports may be realised by printing a number of Y-circulators on a single plate and connecting neighbouring ports to provide a tandem arrangement.
