Abstract
1,247,525. Electrolytic etching of aluminium. SIEMENS A. G. Nov. 27, 1968 [Nov. 28, 1967], No. 56172/68. Heading C7B. In roughening by etching an aluminium foil for use in an electrolytic capacitor, the foil is annealed before electrolytic etching in an aqueous solution at a temperature above 70‹ C. containing a chloride concentration of 2 to 4N and free from sulphate ions with a D. C. etching current having an A. C. ripple of less than 10%.
