1,247,460. Load handling apparatus. S. M. MONONEN. 15 July, 1970 [24 July, 1969], No. 34275/70. Heading B8H. [Also in Division E1] An articulated framework for carrying an appliance 8 at the rear of a tractor comprises a lower frame 2 attached to the chassis to pivot about an axis in front of, parallel to, and below the axis of rotation of the rear wheels of the tractor under the action of a ram 3. An intermediate frame 4 is pivoted at 11 to the frame 1 and is tilted by a ram 1. An upper frame 7 is pivoted to the intermediate frame 4 at 10 and is tilted by a ram 5. The appliance 8 is pivoted at 9 to the upper frame 7 and is tilted by a ram 6. The framework may be folded flat in a horizontal position, Fig. 2 (not shown). The frame 1 may have a ground engaging skid, casters or adjustable struts (not shown).
