Abstract

1,242,387. Reversible ploughs. ROBERT H. CRAWFORD & SON. 9 Aug., 1968 [10 Aug., 1967], No. 36803/67. Heading A1B. A reversible trailer plough has the plough beam 2 pivoted centrally in the main frame 1 and rotatable through 180 degres for bringing into use oppositely extending, right and left handed plough bodies. A trailing wheel 4 is prevented from rotating during this operation by means of a universally jointed link 30. The rotation may be effected by a ram 40 connected to a rack engaging a pinion carried by the plough beam adjacent the pivot. The beam is supported at its outer corner by adjustable hooks 25. The height of the front wheels may be adjusted by means of a hydraulic ram (15), Fig. 1, not shown, or by means of hand wheels 7.
