[Also in Division F2] In a pastry processing or other machine, with a conveyer belt 1 trained round a drive roller 5 and one or more guide rollers 6, in which it is necessary for the mounting of the roller 5 to be dismantled for changing the conveyer belt, each bearing journal 20 of the roller 5 lies in a U- shaped recess 29 (Figs. 4 and 6) in a bearing member 10 fixed to the framework, the width of the recess 29 being at least as great as the diameter of the journal 20. In addition a sleeve 21 is mounted in the member 10 coaxial with the journal 20 and is adjustable between a first position (Fig. 4) in which it surrounds the end of the journal, at least in the area of the opening of the U-shaped recess, and a second position (Fig. 5, not shown) in which the journal can be removed from the U-shaped recess. By turning a spindle 24, the sleeve 21 (which is threaded to the spindle) is drawn axially to a position (Fig. 5, not shown) in which it is clear of the journal 20. The roller 6 can then be lifted out. In a modification (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown), the sleeve has a cut-away portion which can be turned so as to coincide with the U-shaped recess 29 and the sleeve 21 does not have axial movement. Arms 8 rigid with the bearing members 10 on respective sides of the roller 15, are acted on by fluid pressure units (14) (Fig. 3, not shown), to load the guide rollers 6, and so tension the belt 1.
