Abstract

124,675. Sterzing, A. A. E. Sept. 27, 1918. Reflexed-flow type.-Steam supplied through rotor ports 20 and ducts 22 expands radially and circumferentially in concentric series of #- shaped pockets 29 formed in the rotor members 14 and in the stator 12, and exhausts through an outlet 28. The pockets, which increase in size from the inner to the outer series, have angularly disposed inner walls, and may be fitted with partitions c, Figs. 2, 3, 7, and 8, and lips, not shown, or such partitions and lips may be dispensed with, Fig. 11.
