A strip of heat-resisting, reflective foil is rolled or folded into a magazine 12, Fig. 3, extending the length of a grilling or baking oven, so that the foil can be passed over rollers 15, 16, 17, 18 to form a disposable lining for the bottom, back and top of the oven. Separate pieces of foil 19 held in place by permanent magnets 21, 22 line the ends of the oven. The oven has a lid hinged at the bottom of the back, and a serrated edge 24 at the front of the lid enables soiled foil to be easily detached when it has been pulled from the oven. The heating element 10 may be used to heat food on a grid 11 when the lid of the oven is opened, Fig. 5. In this case, the foil 13c is arranged to pass below the element 10 to act as a reflector and drip tray.
