[Also in Division C2] Veterinary compositions for oral or parenteral administration to control bacterial infections in poultry, birds and warm-blooded animals, comprise a carrier and a tetrazine of formula wherein R and R 1 each represent amino, C 1-12 alkylamino, di(C 1-12 alkyl)amino, C 2-13 alkanoylamino, di( 2-13 alkanoyl)amino, benzoylamino, C 2-13 haloalkanylamino, halophenyl or (C 1-12 alkyl) 2 -N-CH=N-, except that R and R 1 may not simultaneously be halophenyl; or a salt thereof. The carrier may include a mixture of vitamins.
