1,185,616. 2 - Sulphanilamido - 3 - halo - geno-pyridines. NORDMARK-WERKE G.m.b.H. 13 Feb., 1968 [28 Feb., 1968], No. 7789/69. Heading C2C. Novel compounds I wherein X is a halogen atom, are obtained by reacting compounds II with compounds III wherein Y is an amino group or a group convertible thereto, and Z 1 signifies NH 2 when Z 2 is halogen, or Z 1 signifies NHMetal when Z 2 is trimethylammonium or Z 1 signifies halogen when Z 2 is NH 2 . The N-acetyl derivative of 2-sulphanilamido-3- chloro-pyridine is prepared by the interaction of 2-amino-3-chloro-pyridine and N-acetylsulphanilio acid chloride. Pharmaceutical preparations contain as active ingredient compounds I. Administration is, e.g., in the form of tablets.
