1,244,362. Analogue signal delay and storage circuits. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. 19 Sept., 1968 [18 Nov., 1967], No. 57230/70. Divided out of 1,244,361. Heading H3U. An analogue signal delay circuit comprises a series of diodes 715-719, charge storage diodes 721-724 connected to the junctions of these diodes and means for biasing the diodes cyclically so that a sample of the analogue signal stored in the first storage diode is passed along the storage diodes. As shown, when the clock pulse U 8 is negative a sample of the input signal at 714 is stored in 721. When the clock pulse becomes positive 721 is discharged into 722. Thus the sample is passed along. Diodes 722 and 724 may alternatively be connected to clock pulses of opposite phase (Fig. 2, not shown) and the circuit may be preceded by a gate opened only for a short period during the clock pulse (Fig. 3, not shown). The clock pulses may be supplied by a changeover switch (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown). By transferring the samples one at a time in reverse order instead of in groups of alternate stages a greater delay is obtainable. The control pulses may be obtained from a shift register (Figs. 9-11, not shown).
