Abstract

1,244,357. Printing apparatus. CARTER'S INK CO. 5 Nov., 1968 [27 Dec., 1967], No. 52373/68. Heading B6C. A recipient sheet is imaged with printing particles which are originally dispersed in a resistive medium on a donor sheet. The two sheets are placed in contact and subjected to an electric field in the shape of the image to be rendered on the recipient sheet the field being of such strength that the particles forming the image are detached from the donor sheet and moved to the recipient sheet. The particles may be carbon or metallic held to the sheet of cloth, paper or plastics film by a resinous binder.
