[Also in Division B8] A fork-lift truck or like vehicle having a frontally arranged hydraulically-operated lifting means comprises a wheel 9 at each side of the normal pair of front wheels 7 of the vehicle and adapted to be hydraulically lowered into contact with the gound by rams 12 connected to the hydraulic lifting system of the vehicle, whereby the wheels 9 relieve the load on the wheels 7 by engaging the ground with a force proportional to the load being carried by the vehicle. Each wheel 9, which is essentially the same diameter as the wheels 7, is mounted on the vehicle through a suspension device 10 and is axially aligned with the wheels 7 during use.
