Abstract

1,243,753. Time switches. LANDIS & GYR A.G. 13 March, 1970 [18 March, 1969], No. 12164/70. Heading H1N. An electric switch comprises a rotatable programme disc 6 carrying projections 8 (8a) which co-operate with respective contact actuating cams (2), 3 mounted on a common shaft 1, each cam having surfaces 9 which are engaged by the respective projections 8 (8a) whereby the cam is rotated through an angle at each engagement, each cam (2) 3 being secured to respective star wheel (4), 5 which are engaged by a spring biased roller 10, the arrangement being such that each engagement of the cams (2) 3 by the projections 8 (8a) rotates the star wheel 4 (5) sufficiently for the roller 10 to pass over a peripheral point of the star wheel, whereupon the roller 10 bears on a trailing edge of the star wheel to cause it to rotate through a further angle and operate a respective contact set 19. Roller 10 is mounted on a spring biased lever 11 whose axis may be eccentrically adjusted to move the roller tangentially relative to the curve envelope of the star wheels 4 (5) to adjust the operation of the contact set(s) 19 relative to the disc 6. Both contact sets 19 may be simultaneously actuated if projections 8 (8a) are at the same position on disc 6.
