1,242,131. Flexible skirts for gas cushion vehicles. HOVERMARINE Ltd. 20 Feb., 1969 [24 Feb., 1968], No. 9057/68. Heading B7K. [Also in Division E1] The cushion of a gas cushion vehicle 1, Fig. 1, is contained by a pair of laterally-spaced side wall structures 5 and a flexible front wall 6, Fig. 2, comprising a succession of independently deflectable wall members 10, each wall member being constructed from a truncated triangular shaped piece of flexible material folded to form the U-shape shown; the wall members overlap each other progressively so as to form "steps," and each contiguous pair of side portions 12 of members 10 extend inwardly to substantially the same extent. The flexible walls can have a V-like or arcuate configuration. There is an inflatable bag rear wall 7. The walls 5 contain shafts driving water propellers 33.
