1435700 Air cushion vehicles HOVERMARINE TRANSPORT Ltd 31 Aug 1973 [29 Sept 1972] 18357/75 Divided out of 1435699 Heading B7K A sidewall air cushion vehicle has the cushion space 3 sealed at the aft end of the sidewalls by an inflatable flexible skirt 60 comprising a first loop of material 66 joined to the vehicle body at points 67 and 68 and a second loop formed by a panel 70, secured to loop 66 and a panel 71 secured to the vehicle at 72, the two panels being connected by flexible contiguous fingers 62 bridged by other fingers 63 in the manner disclosed in Specification 1,109,562. The skirt compartment 73 and the fingers are inflated by fan air delivered through a duct 13 and air at lower pressure is delivered through a branch duct 13a to compartment 69.
