Abstract

1,242,032. Selective printing. ADDRESSOGRAPH MULTIGRAPH CORP. 12 Nov., 1969 [21 Nov., 1968], No. 55434/69. Heading B6F. A print wheel assembly comprises a T-shaped frame member 10 with a shaft 12 for rotatably supporting type-wheels 18. Each type-wheel has associated therewith two detents 22 mounted within the shaft, both detents coacting with serrations on the inner periphery of the wheel, one detent urging the wheel to rotate in one direction, the other detent urging it to rotate in the opposite direction. This is achieved by offsetting the centre line of the detent slot with respect to the parallel diameter of the shaft. The T-shaped frame member 10 with three mounting points 16 enables the print wheel assembly to be aligned on the bed (34, Fig. 2) of a printing machine.
