Abstract

1,241,636. Cartons. WEPACK G.m.b.H. 16 May, 1969 [24 May, 1968], No. 25042/69. Heading B8P. A collapsible container comprises a bottom 1 with end walls 2, 3 and side walls 4, 5, the end walls being extended to form covers 6, 7 partially extending over the bottom and having flaps 9 connected to the lower parts of the side walls, the flaps and end walls having fold lines to enable the container to be collapsed flat for transport or storage. As shown in Fig. 3, the side walls 4, 5 have flaps 11 which are folded inwardly against the side walls and the flaps 9 are attached to the outside of the lower part of the side walls 4 and 5 either by adhesive applied at the areas 10 (Fig. 2) or tongue and slot connections. Cut-outs 8 (Fig. 1, not shown) in the side walls 2 and 3 enable the contents to be observed. A transverse perforation line, extending across the base 1, allows easy removal of the contents. A portion of the base 1 defined by perforations may be extended from the remainder of the base to provide a stand for display purposes. The flaps 11 may extend from the side walls 2 and 3 and may also be triangular in shape.
