Abstract

1,241,471. Timepiece cases. E. PIQUEREZ. Aug. 12, 1968 [Aug. 16, 1967], No. 38460/68. Heading G3T. A timepiece comprises two rotatable bezels 4, 5 which are connected so that rotation of the bezel 4 causes rotation of the bezel 5. The bezel 4 is located in a groove 6 of a middle bezel 1 by a polygonal annular spring 7 and has teeth 11 which mesh with a pinion 12 attached by a shaft 16, 17 to a further pinion 15. The pinion 15 meshes with teeth 14 on the bezel 5. Fluidtight seals 18, 21 are positioned internally and externally of a sleeve 19 and a closure 22 maintains the pinions and the sleeve in an opening in the bezel 1. Projections 10 assist rotation of the bezel 4, the upper face 9 of which carries indications. In a modification the bezel 4 is rotated by a button, the stem of which is attached to the shaft of the pinion 12. One or both of the bezels may have graduations and a friction drive may be provided instead of the pinions 12, 15.
