In other modifications, they could be driven by means other than gears, for example, by friction.
What is claimed is:
1. In a timepiece, a casing; a crystal fixed against said casing; and first and second turning bezels positioned concentrically, said first bezel being manually controlled and being positioned outside said timepiece casing, and said second bezel being positioned inside said casing; and rotating means passing through said casing and connecting said bezels so as to cause said second bezel to be rotated by said first bezel.
2. Timepiece according to claim 1, in which said bezels are rotatable at different angular speeds.
3. Timepiece according to claim 1, wherein said turning bezels carry markings, said markings being related to one another.
4. Timepiece according to claim 1, wherein said bezels carry markings which are independent from one another.
5. Timepiece according to claim 1, wherein said means connecting said bezels comprise gears on said bezels and two pinions positioned on the same shaft and meshing with said teeth on said bezel.
6. Timepiece according to claim 5, wherein said pinions are positioned on the shaft and said shaft is mounted on a sleeve.
7. Timepiece according to claim 1, having a button connected to said outer bezel for actuating the same.
8. Timepiece according to claim 7, wherein said button is fast on a shaft of a pinion meshing with said outer bezel.
9. Timepiece according to claim 8, having a middle, said middle having a radial opening for housing said pinions and said sleeve.
There are already known timepieces having two concentric turning bezels that can be manually actuated when both are positioned outside the casing and by means of a control button when they are inside the casing.
Timepieces having turning bezels have various applications, for example: drivers watches, wherein the bezels carry then the indications of the decompression stages; universal watches, wherein the bezels bear indications of the hours in various cities on the earth; chronometers in which the bezels are graduated in hours and minutes; and speed counters in which the bezels carry a logarithmic scale showing kilometers.
The present invention has for its object a timepiece comprising two turning bezels positioned concentrically, one of which is manually actuated and is characterised by the fact that the manually actuated bezel is positioned outside the casing while the other, which is positioned inside, is rotated by the first bezel.
The accompanying drawing shows by way of example one embodiment of the invention, and the single figure shows a partial cross-section thereof.
The timepiece comprises a middle-bezel 1 against an edge of which is positioned a crystal 2 maintained by means of a tensioning ring 3 and two concentric bezels 4, 5 positioned outside and inside crystal 2 respectively.
The outer bezel 4 is maintained in a groove 6 of the middle bezel 1 by means of a polygonal annular spring 7.
It has a shoulder 8 extending to the crystal and covering the middle bezel, and'it has indications carried on its upper face 9. Projections 10 facilitate the manual operation of this outer bezel 4 which has teeth 11 on its lower side for meshing with a first pinion 12.
