Abstract

124,108. Lyons, L. W., and Wills, J. May 14,1918. Roller bearings. -A roller bearing for shafts &c. has several rows of rollers 11 separated by -spring rings 13 lying in grooves in the shaft. End collars 14 are retained by spring rings 16. The bearing portion of the shaft may be enlarged as shown, or a sleeve may be placed on the shaft and held in position by the collars 14 or directly by spring rings. The main rollers 11 may alternate with spacing-rollers of slightly smaller diameter.
