Abstract

1,240,763. Inking apparatus. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK FRANKENTHAL ALBERT & CIE. A.G. 19 May, 1969 [29 May, 1968], No. 25395/69. Heading B6C. Duct roller 4 is enclosed in a cage 13, with apertures 14, and an inturned edge of the cage acts as a metering blade to control the amount of ink passed to roller 9. Doctor blade 12 controls the amount of ink passed by roller 9 to roller 10. Roller 4 may be adjusted relative to roller 9 by rotation of cam 8, and roller 4 and cage 13 may be removed from holders 5 as a unit. Ink container 2 is detachable from its base 1, and can be exchanged for another container. Cage 13 may be moved relative to roller 4, so as to adjust the gap between the edge of the cage and the roller 4.
