Abstract

1,237,239. Counting-apparatus; automatic alarm systems. LUDWIGSBURGER MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. 1 Nov., 1968 [2 Nov., 1967], No: 52007/68. Headings G4D and G4N. [Also in Division F2] Lubrication is started and stopped at two predetermined counts of working cycles of a machine, failure of the lubricating system giving an alarm and stopping the machine. Each machine cycle operates a contact 20 to operate coil 182 to step down a counter 18 from a preset value. When the counter reaches a predetermined low value, contact 183 closes to energize lubricate relay 16 over normallyclosed contact 281, and lubrication ensues. Relay 16 holds over contact 162 until oil pressure has built up when switch 14 changes over and coil 181 resets counter 18 to its original value. If switch 14 does not change over then the count continues to zero when contact 184 opens. Fault relay 28 then releases to bring up an alarm and/or stop the machine and release lubricating relay 16. A float switch 26 opens if the lubricant level is low, whereupon fault relay 28 releases. The machine can be lubricated by operation of switch 22.
