Abstract

123,678. Payne, A. E. H. June 21. 1918. Envelopes.-In a string opener for envelopes, the string B is secured to the edge of a rectangle of paper, cardboard, &c. L, placed within the envelope. The string may be secured in place by an adhesive strip M, Fig. 2, or the edge of the card L may be turned over as shown in Fig. 3, or the string may be passed through holes in the card. The card L may bear a picture, advertisement, &c., or may be written upon.
