Abstract
123,946. Howse, G. H. Oct. 31, 1918. Envelopes.-An envelope is formed from a sheet of paper or the like folded upon itself so as to bring its two parallel edges together and having two end securing flaps 3, 4, one of which may be secured down or tucked in as desired. The envelope is adapted to be secured by a gummed address label 5 which is folded over the meeting edges of the sheet as shown in Fig. 4. The label may be adapted to bear the address and may receive the stamp and cancellation marks. The label may be perforated at the fold 7, the envelope being opened by cutting along this fold. The envelope can be re-used by affixing another label. If desired, the envelope may be provided with a window, in which case the label would be made smaller to serve only as a closing device.
