Abstract

1,234,478. Child's high-chair. G. PEREGO. 26 Nov., 1968 [12 Jan., 1968; 13 Sept., 1968], No. 56084/68. Heading A4J. A child's high-chair, Fig. 2, comprises a base framework A, a rear framework B having parts 8 fixed in parts 2 of framework A, a device C including tubes 11 slideably adjustably mounted on parts 8, and a chair including a back E<11> with hooks 18 for hanging on a tube 12 of device C, an adjustable seat E, a foot rest H and a detachable tray T. The seat E is adjustable in depth with regard to the back E<11> by guides 15 in seat E sliding in guides 17 in the seat frame bottom 14, lock screws (15<1>) and stops (17<1>) being provided. The guides 15, 17 may be replaced by rollers or sliding pads. The foot rest H is adjustable in height by pins 25<1> on its frame I engaging selected holes 24<11> in a support F, support F adjustably supporting the footrest in depth by spring loaded plungers 23 in tubes 21 of devices G connected to arm rests 16 of the seat frame co-operating with selected notches 24<1> of support F. Hooks 18, and hooks 19 for hanging the chair on a car seat, are rotatable in devices M fixed to the chair back. Tray T is detachably mounted by a frame S in apertures S' on the back E<11>, and may be turned over. In another form of high-chair, Fig. 6, frameworks A, B are in one piece, and the chair comprises a back (D) and sides (D1), D2 respectively connected to parts Q, R, P, and a seat E with an extension E<1> that covers the foot-rest H. Parts Q, R, P have sleeves Qx, Rx, Px for the reception of rotable spindles M with hooks M2, M, for hanging the chair on the device C or a car seat; cavities Ry, Py that adjustably receive the arms of a frame S supporting a tray (T), and sockets R2, P2 that adjustably support arms H<1> of footrest H. A frame F having its ends F, fixed to the bottom R1, (P11) of parts R, P has a slot F2 in which a locking pin F3, F4 underneath seat E slides. Tray (T) is adjustably attached to a plate S<1> by projections (T1, T2, Fig. 7). A U-frame (U, Fig. 8) pivoted to frame F, allows the chair to be mounted on the floor.
