[Also in Division A4] A desk is formed from a first blank, Fig. I, of cardboard or corrugated board, comprising a main top-forming panel 1, hinged intermediate panels 2, hinged leg stabilising panels 4 and hinged leg panels 6 with tabs 8 hinged thereto, edges 10 being cut to form recesses 11; and a second similar blank (Fig. 2). Panel 1 is laid on corresponding panel (1') of the second blank, with the lengths of the blanks at right angles. The panels 2,2' are folded inwardly through 90‹ and panels 4,4' are folded back at 90‹ to panels 2,2'. Panels 6,6' are folded back relative to panels 4,4', and tabs 8 (8') are folded inwardly over panels 2,2' (see Fig. 3). Panels 2,2' are folded into face-to-face engagement with panel 1 with 8(8') trapped beneath them and the inner edges: of legs 6,6' engaged in recesses 11 (11'), Fig. 4. The leg panel pairs 15 are stapled or glued together and the desk may be faced with decorative plastics or paper sheet. The desk of Fig. 4 may be formed from two blanks each with panels 2,2' &c. hinged to two adjacent sides of the main panel 1(1'), or from one blank with panels 2 &c. connected to the four sides of panel 1. Panel 1 may be square. A triangular top table is formed from three planks each with a single intermediate panel &c. or from two blanks, one as just described and one with two intermediate panels &c. Tables with five or six-sided top may be formed from two or three blanks.
