Abstract

1,205,275. Furniture. P. RAACKE. 4 March, 1968 [4 March, 1967; 25 March, 1967; 5 April, 1967], No. 10483/68. Heading A4H. An article of furniture is made of cardboard or synthetic plastics folded to form hollow prism-shaped supports of triangular cross-section. The cardboard blank 10 shown in Fig. 1 is folded along the dotted score lines in a certain sequence to form a cube, Fig. 2, in which each of two opposite faces is replaced by four re-entrant faces forming a pyramid. The vertices of the two pyramids abut at the centre of the cube. A table (Fig. 6) comprising a top supported at its ends by supports of hollow prismatic form is made by folding a rectangular blank (Fig. 4). A chair, Fig. 10, is made by folding a rectangular blank (Fig. 7) and by pushing the edges of a separate plate (106) between the adjacent faces of two panels.
