Abstract

123,362. Harden, J. L. Jan. 21, 1918. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs.-The spring wheels of the kind in which C-springs are connected to inner and outer rigid rings, and radial rods are fitted with cushioning means inside and outside the inner ring, the C-springs 9 have their ends pivotally connected to the inner ring 3 by links 11 and clamps 12 and are secured to the outer ring 6 by bolts 10. The coiled springs 20 on the radial rods 19 may be adjusted by nuts 21. Supplemental coiled springs 22, adjusted by means within the outer ring, may be provided, and the radial rods situated between adjacent C-springs may be dispensed with.
