Abstract
1,232,998. Injection moulding. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. 28 Aug., 1968 [1 Sept., 1967], No. 40023/67. Heading B5A. A machine including an injection nozzle movable towards and away from a moulding position includes a cutting means actuated as the nozzle returns from the moulding position to sever any excess moulding material from the region of the nozzle orifice. The cutting means comprises a pivotally mounted spring- urged blade mounted on a structure moved perpendicularly to the nozzle displacement and driven by a pneumatic motor.
