Abstract

1,232,269. Grinding discs. TELASYPAPELES ABRASIVOS, S.A. 24 Dec., 1968 [20 July, 1968], No. 61234/68. Heading B3D. A grinding disc is provided on one face with a grinding layer 4 having radial grooves 5 between which are disposed respective sets of radially spaced channels 6 which open at their respective ends into neighbouring grooves, the ends of the channels in each set being staggered relative to the ends of the channels of each adjacent set. As described, the disc includes a flexible base sheet 1 of fibrous material, and the layer 4 is composed of superimposed layers of grinding material embedded in a resin matrix. The channels 6 extend substantially tangentially of circles centred on the disc axis.
