A door latching arrangement includes a handle 1 comprising two relatively movable members 15, 17, one 15 of which is adapted to be attached to the door and is provided with an aperture 18 adapted to be aligned with an aperture in the door, and the other member 17 having a ramp portion 22 associated therewith, a plunger 2 slidably mounted in the aperture 18 of the one member 15 for movement towards or away from the plane of the door, a latch member 4 adapted to be connected' to the door adjacent its aperture for movement between latched and unlatched positions, means 11 for biassing the latching member to its latched position where it engages one end of the plunger and biasses the latter away from the plane of the door so that the other end of the plunger is urged into engagement with the start of the ramp portions the arrangement being such that relative movement between the two handle members in a predetermined direction causes the ramp portion to traverse across the other end of the plunger whereby to move the latch member to its unlatched position. As shown, the handle member 17 is of annular form and is rotatably mounted on the handle member 15 which is in the form of a plate.
