Abstract

1,231,365. Servo operated master cylinders. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 14 Jan., 1970, No. 1794/70. Heading F2F. In a motor vehicle having a servo operated master cylinder 21 the booster piston 3 separates an air chamber 13 from a chamber 15 connected to the engine intake manifold when the brakes are applied and is non-circular, for example elliptical. The master cylinder is disposed adjacent the vehicle dash panel.
