In an hydraulic brake system, more particularly for motor vehicles, the pneumatic servocylinder 10 is connected into the system in such a way as to provide a servo-effect only in the pipe 4 leading to the front wheel cylinders, the master cylinder 1 being connected directly by pipe 2 to the rear wheel brake cylinders. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 550,450.
