Abstract
1,231,028. Endless conveyers. SOVEX Ltd. 7 Jan., 1970 [12 Dec., 1968], No. 59188/68. Heading B8A. Articles are conveyed along a track 11 having a series of descending convolutions (Fig. 2) each of which has a sinuous layout when viewed in plan (Fig. 1), by the action of a series of pusher rods 20 which extend vertically between an upper conveyer chain (shown diagrammatically at 21) disposed above the uppermost convolution, and a lower conveyer chain disposed beneath the lowermost convolution. The track 11 is formed by rails 16, 17, having load-engaging surfaces of polytetrafluorethylene, nylon loaded with molybdenum disulphide, or any substances impregnated with graphite. The track may have load bearing rollers. The articles may be wire buckets or trays. The latter may carry rollers or low-friction surfaces. The track 11 has entry and exit points 24, 25.
