Abstract
1,228,155. Dry grouting mix. LAPORTE INDUSTRIES Ltd. 3 July, 1968 [4 April, 1967], No. 15343/67. Heading C1H. A dry grouting mix comprises (i) cement, (ii) at least one filler, (iii) up to 5% by weight of the total (i) + (ii) of a synthetic inorganic clay as claimed in Specification 1,054,111 and/or in Specification 1,213,122, and (iv) up to 5% by weight of (iii) of a peptizer comprising at least one alkali metal phosphate. The filler may be bauxite, silica, sand, slate or, preferably, fly ash. Specified peptizers are trisodium phosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate, and particularly tetrasodium pyrophosphate. A specified dry grout contains 70 parts by wt. fly ash, 30 p.b.w. cement, 0.12 p.b.w. synthetic clay, and 2% tetrasodium pyrophosphate based on the clay weight. Such a grout is mixed with 35-55 p.b.w. water for use.
