Abstract

1,227,355. Fibrous cement. J. W. ROBERTS Ltd. 28 June, 1968 [29 March, 1967; 11 Dec., 1967], Nos. 14319/67 and 56260/67. Heading G1H. A cement-fibre coating composition comprises, in weight per cent, 30-70 cement; 0-30 hydrated lime or other filler; 0À01-2À0 cellulose ether; 0À2-10 staple fibre up to 1 inch long, with or without mineral oil (e.g. up to 3) and an alkali resistant pigment (e.g. up to 5); the remainder being mineral wool amounting to at least 10. The cement can be Portland or aluminous, and the fibres glass or natural textile ones. Talc, P.T.A., clay and fine sand can be used with or in place of the lime.
