Abstract
122,501. Smith, J. W., and Industrial Appliances, Ltd. Jan. 31, 1918. Fluid - actuated valves. - A valve device for use in lubricating systems is adapted to be raised from its seat by inlet or outlet pressure acting on a diaphragm or piston against the action of a loading spring. The knifeedge valve member 3 is adapted to engage a removable flat seat 4 and is formed at one end of a spindle which has an enlarged part provided with grooves and adapted to slide in the casing 5. The other end of the spindle is secured to the diaphragm 6 by a nut 2<a> which also forms an abutment for a loading spring 9 adjusted by a screw 10. A test plug is fitted in the side of the casing.
