Abstract

1,224,861. Heat insulated containers. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS Inc. 17 Jan., 1969 [18 Jan., 1968], No. 2795/69. Heading F4U. [Also in Division A4] The inner member 12 of a double-walled cup has axially spaced shoulders 20, 24 for supporting the outer member 14 against inward deformation when the cup is gripped. The outer tapers smoothly from its top to a curved shoulder 38 which is in engagement with shoulder 20; a gap 48 normally exists between the outer and shoulder 24. The outer is fluted at 44 and 36 and has an elevated central portion 27 in its bottom wall 28; tapering flutes 29 radiate from the elevated portion.
