Abstract

1,224,456. Syringes. DOW CORNING CORP. May 20, 1969 [Oct.25, 1968], No.25577/69. Heading F1R. A caulting cartridge particularly for containing water curable components has a sealing coating of silicone oil, preferably dimethylpolysiloxane, of a viscosity between 100 and 1000 centistokes, interposed between the slidable plunger 4 and tubular body 1. A drying agent such as CaCl 2 may be placed between the plunger 4 and a removable end cap 6 when the cartridge is filled, the oil and drying agent functioning to prevent atmospheric moisture reaching the compound during storage.
