Abstract
1,223,620. Automatic circuit-breakers. CONDOR-WERK GEB. FREDE K.G. 9 Sept., 1968 [9 Sept., 1967], No. 42762/68. Heading HlN. A circuit breaker has a short-circuit trip 2, a bi-metallic overload trip 3 and an earth leakage trip 4 grouped around a common trip lever 6, the trips being independently operable on the lever 6. The trip 2 is an electromagnet having a pivoted armature 2<SP>1</SP> connected to a stirrup 15 having an end engaged in a slot 12 in the lever 6. A stirrup 17 has an end engaged in a slot 13 in the lever 6 and its other end connected to the bimetallic trip 3 which is biased by an adjustable spring 8. The earth leakage trip 4 has a push rod 18 which may act directly on the lever 6, the trip 4 being energized from a differential transformer 5.
