Abstract

1,171,660. Automatic circuit-breakers. SQUARE D CO. 31 Aug., 1967 [10 Nov., 1966], No. 39797/67. Heading H1N. In a circuit-breaker similar to that of Specification 827,733 there is provided a pivoted trip indicator 30 connected to the trip lever 10 by a spring 34 acting as an extensible-contractible link such that, when the trip lever 10 is released upon overload by trip mechanism 14 and moves under the force of over-centre spring 11 such that contacts 3, 4 open, the indicator 30 is rotated by spring 34 to bring its coloured flag 33 into view in window 27. When lever 10 is in the untripped position, the flag 33 of indicator 30 is held out of alignment with window 27, regardless of the position of the manual operator 6, see also Figs. 4, 5 (not shown).
