Abstract

A liquid spout for producing trajectory laminar streams of liquid comprises a tubular body 10 having an internal peripheral ledge or chamfer, a plurality of concave screens in contact with one another and seated on the internal ledge or chamfer with their concave sides facing upstream and their axes coincident with that of the body, and a strainer 52 of finer mesh located upstream of the concave screens, the internal wall of the body downstream of the chamfer or ledge being further stepped or chamfered to reduce the bore diameter of the body in the direction of flow. The strainer may be retained on step 27 by washer 56. The downstream orifice may be provided with a drip ring 18 and the parts may be made of metal or plastics.
