Abstract

1,216,285. Spray producers. AMERICAN STANDARD Inc. 5 June, 1969 [6 June, 1968], No. 28502/69. Heading B2F. Nozzles for liquid spouts comprise a sleevelike body 10 having an internal peripheral ledge 30, and a plurality of screens 22, 24, 26 seated on the ledge, the internal wall of the body downstream of the ledge including two cylindrical wall portions 40, 44 and an intermediate wall portion 42 therebetween having a cone angle of 15 to 45‹, so as to reduce the diameter of the bore of the body. A strainer 32 retained by ring 34 may be provided upstream of the screens which are preferably part-spherical with concave side facing upstream.
