Abstract
122,210. Berry, A. F. Oct. 10, 1917. Electric radiators.-A heating lamp is provided with an elongated reflector arranged between the filament and the bulb and having its central longitudinal part convex or flat, so as to reflect part of the heat away from the filament. The reflector may be an internal coating on a part of the bulb which may be convex, Fig. 1, or partly convex, Fig. 3. When separate from the bulb surface it may be secured by its slotted end fitting on to stems at the ends of the cylindrical lamp. Additional reflectors i<1>, Fig. 6, may be arranged in the ends of the bulb to protect the caps. External reflectors f<1>, f<2>, Fig. 8, may be arranged so as to throw radiation forwards or obliquely. These two reflectors may be connected by a curved portion spaced slightly from the back of the bulb.
