Abstract

1,221,999. Panty hose. PILOT RESEARCH CORP. 21 March, 1968 [27 March, 1967], No. 13823/68. Heading A3V. [Also in Divisions D1-2] A panty hose comprises two heeless tubes slit at their upper panty ends along a line 15 and seamed together. The tubes are knit throughout of a thermoplastic stretch yarn not in excess of 30 denier, preferably 15. The panty portion, which includes a turned welt 13, is reinforced with heavy, i.e. 60-70 denier, yarn. Then follows a run-resistant band. A crotch panel 17 may be inserted and may continue between the rear of the legs. An elastic band 20 may be attached to the top of the panty portion.
