Abstract

1,221,947. Road vehicle lamp. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 31 July, 1968 [16 Aug., 1967], No. 37696/67. Heading F4R. The description is identical to that of Specification 1,221,945 but the claims relate to a lamp including a reflector, a tungsten halogen bulb carried by the reflector, a first light shield positioned with respect to the bulb so as to prevent light issuing from the lamp without first being reflected by the reflector, a second light shield positioned with respect to the bulb so as to prevent those rays from striking the reflector which have been refracted by the deformed portion of the envelope of the bulb at the base of the bulb and which would have been reflected by the reflector so as to issue from the lamp upwardly relative to the axis of the reflector.
