1,219,672. Oil filler cap fitting. U.C.C. FILTERS (HYDRAULICS) Ltd. 5 June, 1969 [24 Sept., 1968], No. 45277/68. Headings B1D and B1T. [Also in Division B8] An oil filler cap C, which releasably engages a fitting 1 secured round an opening in the top W of an oil reservoir in a hydraulic system, comprises annular filter element 11 and inlet and outlet openings 14, 15 so located that air drawn into the reservoir as the oil level therein falls undergoes a reversal of direction and filtration to remove dust. A second filter element 17 secured inside the reservoir filters oil poured through opening 2 when cap C is removed. Tongues C on cap C engage cams 6 on fitting 1, and the cap is tightened by rotating it half a turn.
